As a small animal clinic, we practice general medicine that covers wellness visits and the diagnosis and treatment of sick animals as well as dental care, surgery, heartworm testing, microchipping, routine preventative care for dogs and cats, and more.

Whiskers Veterinary Hospital was previously known as Westfield Veterinary Hospital with locations in Westfield and Dunkirk, New York. Following the pandemic, the practice elected to downsize and closed the Westfield office. We rebranded the Dunkirk location with the new name, Whiskers Veterinary Hospital, to avoid confusion and to celebrate our new start. Although we have a new name, our commitment to offering affordable veterinary care to community families with an emphasis on preventative care remains the same.

We believe that everyone should have access to quality medical care for their pets, and that is why we provide high caliber compassionate animal care at a reasonable cost to every patient and client that walks through our door. At Whiskers Veterinary Hospital, we treat each patient with the same love and care that we give to our own pets.

As a privately-owned practice, we have the ability to support our community the best way that we can. We offer programs like Free Vaccines For Life as well as Caturdays on the second Saturday of each month. Caturdays are days when only cats are scheduled for appointments. This is a great option for our anxious or spicy friends, and each cat goes home with a free goody bag. We also occasionally have special events such as “Nuts Off Day” for neutering cats at little or no charge.
